FIBER OPTIC NETWORK SOLUTIONS
Go Beyond Copper. Connect Across Distance.
ALTRIOM TECH helps businesses extend reliable data connectivity between network rooms, separate buildings and demanding environments. We focus on practical fiber links, clean terminations and compatible network equipment—without unnecessary complexity.
A PRACTICAL SOLUTION
From One Network to the Next
01 / ASSESS
Review distance, route, electrical exposure and bandwidth needs.
02 / CONNECT
Select suitable fiber, termination method and optical interfaces.
03 / VERIFY
Check link operation, record results and document the handoff.
WHEN FIBER MAKES SENSE
Three Reasons to Choose a Fiber Link
Fiber is not required everywhere. It is valuable where an ordinary copper Ethernet run is not the right fit.
01 / REACH
Longer Distances
Typical copper Ethernet channel limits are 100 meters. Fiber can bridge substantially longer distances when cable, transceivers and loss budget are selected correctly.
02 / RESILIENCE
Electromagnetic Noise
An optical signal is not affected by electromagnetic interference. Fiber is well suited near motors, drives and electrically noisy infrastructure when the complete installation is designed appropriately.
03 / ARCHITECTURE
Building-to-Building Links
Connect separate network closets, offices, warehouses and remote equipment areas without extending an electrical copper signal between locations.
REAL-WORLD APPLICATIONS
Fiber for the Connections That Matter
A focused set of applications for businesses, offices and properties across Cancún and Riviera Maya.
OFFICES & CAMPUSES
Between Buildings
Network access from the main equipment room to an annex, administration office, detached workspace or secondary floor, according to the site survey.
INDUSTRIAL ENVIRONMENTS
Near Electrical Equipment
Connectivity near machinery, power equipment and high-interference areas using an appropriate optical cable and safe physical pathway.
SECURITY & OPERATIONS
Remote Network Cabinets
Fiber uplinks for network switches serving distant CCTV systems, access control points and other IP devices; local power and PoE remain necessary.
COMMERCIAL PROPERTIES
Network Backbone Extensions
Planned links between MDF/IDF rooms, office areas and small commercial facilities with clear labeling and room for practical expansion.
WHAT WE DELIVER
Focused Fiber Optic Services
We design around a defined link requirement—not around a one-size-fits-all package.
01
Link Assessment
Site review, proposed routing, endpoint equipment, distance estimates, media type and optical power-budget considerations.
02
Fiber Selection & Pathways
Selection of suitable indoor, outdoor or indoor/outdoor-rated assemblies and installation pathways based on environmental and site conditions.
03
Pre-Terminated Assemblies
Factory-terminated fiber where route access, conduit dimensions and connector protection allow a clean, low-risk installation.
04
Field-Installable Connectors
Mechanical, pre-polished connector termination for compatible applications where a suitable field-installed solution is appropriate.
05
Optics & Network Handoffs
Matching SFP/SFP+ interfaces, patch cords, duplex or other supported fiber topology and compatible switches or media converters.
06
Testing & Documentation
Continuity, inspection, cleaning and optical power/loss checks according to the equipment available and the agreed acceptance criteria; documented results.
ENGINEERED FOR EACH SITE
Design the Entire Optical Path
The cable is one component. A dependable link also needs the right fiber type, optics, physical protection and commissioning plan.
DESIGN
Distance & Optics
Verify compatible endpoints, wavelength, fiber type, data rate and total optical loss budget before selecting transceivers.
INSTALLATION
Routes & Protection
Account for bends, cable pull loads, UV exposure, moisture, safe routing and any metallic cable elements that require bonding.
HANDOFF
Clear Documentation
Identify each endpoint and fiber, confirm live connectivity and specify the test results and records included in the proposal.
SERVICE DELIVERY
A Clear Process from Survey to Handoff
STEP 01
Understand the Site
Review drawings or visit the property, inspect access and determine the link purpose, route and distance.
STEP 02
Define the Design
Specify fiber construction, connectivity method, compatible optics, pathway requirements and acceptance criteria.
STEP 03
Install & Terminate
Install the approved assembly and connectors, protect the terminations and label each endpoint.
STEP 04
Test & Document
Check the connection using the agreed method, confirm network operation and provide a practical handover.
CHOOSE THE SCOPE
Fiber Projects Sized to the Requirement
Each option is a planning framework. The final configuration is quoted after evaluating the route, equipment and endpoint conditions.
START / EXTENSION
Single Fiber Link
One clearly defined connection between two compatible devices or network cabinets. Ideal for a targeted distance or interference problem.
BUILD / CONNECTIVITY
Remote Network Zone
An uplink to a remote switch or cabinet supporting several devices, with patching, power and documentation.
PLAN / BACKBONE
Small Business Backbone
A coordinated set of fiber uplinks between selected rooms or buildings, designed around current demand and measured growth.
TRANSPARENT SCOPE
The Right Method for the Job
Our initial fiber service focuses on installation, pre-terminated solutions, compatible field-installable connectors and connection to active network equipment.
IN SCOPE
Pre-terminated assemblies; supported field-installable connectors; optical transceivers and media converters; practical testing and labeling; endpoint configuration.
PROJECT-DEPENDENT
Fusion splicing, carrier-grade outside plant, underground civil work or formal Tier 1/Tier 2 certification are quoted only when appropriate equipment or a qualified specialist is arranged.
CONNECTED SERVICES
Make Fiber Part of a Complete Network
Network Architecture
Workplace Cabling
Wireless Coverage
Fiber provides the uplink; a complete project may also require switches, access points, security devices, network cabinets or power equipment.
FIBER FAQ
Frequently Asked Questions
When should a business use fiber instead of Cat6?
Fiber is worth considering when an Ethernet copper channel would exceed its normal 100 m limit, when a path is exposed to substantial electromagnetic interference, or when connecting independent buildings. We review bandwidth, distance, cost and site conditions before recommending it.
Can you install fiber without a fusion splicer?
Yes. Many projects can use factory pre-terminated assemblies or compatible pre-polished, mechanically terminated field connectors. Suitability depends on the cable construction, pathway, budget and acceptance criteria; fusion-required work is handled as a separate scope.
Can fiber carry PoE to distant cameras?
A fiber strand carries data, not electrical PoE power. Remote cameras or access points require a suitable powered switch, media converter with appropriate power arrangement, or another local power solution.
Is fiber immune to electrical interference and lightning?
The optical signal is immune to electromagnetic interference. A fully dielectric cable also avoids a conductive path between locations, but an installation containing metallic armor or other conductors needs additional electrical design considerations.
Do you install single-mode or multimode fiber?
We assess both according to existing equipment, future capacity and distance. Single-mode is often practical for longer backbone links, while compatibility with the selected optics and overall design determines the final choice.
What tests will we receive?
Testing is specified in the quotation. Basic continuity or visual checks are not the same as an insertion-loss test or an OTDR report. When a project requires formal certification or specialized traces, that scope must be confirmed before contracting.
